Title Changes for RMHC SWFL Staff

The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southwest Florida’s Board of Directors recently approved changes of title for its staff after intensive research by the Governance Committee, supported by the Finance Committee. The Board of Directors recognizes the expanded responsibilities of each staff member during their tenure and their conscientious attention to the details essential to providing a “home-away-from-home” to families of children who are ill and undergoing treatment in the area, principally Golisano Children’s Hospital. They go above and beyond to provide a welcoming environment, recently arranging a wedding for guests from Europe with premature twins and a shower for moms whose babies were born during the pandemic with no opportunity to celebrate a joyful time in their lives.

“In my almost 45 years of involvement with RMHC, beginning in Washington, D.C., and many years here in Fort Myers, I have not experienced a more competent, caring, and enthusiastic staff as exists with this small (5) group who serve families at an enormously difficult time in their lives. Congratulations to Laura Ragain, President & CEO; Leanna Gonzalez, Director, Administrative Operations; Amy Velez, Director, Marketing & Creative Design; Illeny Farese, Director, Volunteer & Family Services; and Karen Marshall, Director, House Operations & Services.” Carey Randall, founder of RMHC of Greater Washington and current Board member RMHC Southwest Florida.
