Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® Program

For children without access to regular dental care, the lack of preventative measures and untreated cavities can lead to a variety of oral diseases. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® Program – dental offices on wheels – offer a solution by caring for thousands of Southwest Florida children in underserved communities each year.

Through philanthropic support and our partnership with Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida and Healthcare Network, we have not one but two Care Mobiles to serve Lee, Hendry, and Collier Counties. In fact, of the 40 total Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles in the world, we are very proud that we have the only two in Florida to serve our communities.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile I in Collier County

Since 2004, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile I has traveled to schools, community centers and neighborhoods to deliver dental and medical care to thousands of children in Collier County.

• SERVICES INCLUDE:
  • Dental screenings
  • Sealants
  • Fluoride
  • School medical physicals
  • Head Start screenings

The RMCM visits 15 Title 1 schools (those with a high percentage of students from low-income families), as well as select after-school programs and a variety of family-oriented festivals each year.

During the 2022-23 school year, we placed over 1,600 sealants on permanent molars. Almost 1,700 children had dental screenings.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile II in Lee + Hendry County

When it comes to delivering health care, our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile II takes a holistic approach. Our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile provides dental screenings and preventive treatments to under-served children throughout Lee, Hendry and Charlotte County.

• Prevention: we deliver dental education, which reduces overall dental costs, addresses behavior and lifestyle choices and helps motivate families to improve and maintain a healthy smile.
• Treatment: we provide screenings, varnish and sealants.
