Celebrating 30 Years

Faced with a child’s illness, life stops overnight and parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s added stress. Distance. Most families have to travel hours for treatment. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, lost jobs, worried siblings, sleeping in cars, being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience.

That’s why we’re here to help – don’t go through this alone.

What does Ronald McDonald House Charities SWFL do?

With the generosity of our community, the efforts of our volunteers, staff and local McDonald’s restaurant owner-operators, we are meeting our mission through three programs.

The Ronald McDonald House® provides lodging, meals, and other supportive services for families with children receiving medical treatment. Families can stay at a Ronald McDonald House anywhere from one night to several months, depending on their family’s needs
The Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Golisano Children’s Hospital provides food, refreshments, laundry facilities and a relaxation area for family members of hospitalized children. There are only three Family Room programs in Florida, so we are proud to have one!
The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® Program provides dental care through our partnership with two health care providers to underserved children. Of the 38 RMHC Care Mobile programs worldwide, we proudly have two to serve our community.
