Things are Looking “UP” for the 28th Annual Storybook Ball

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southwest Florida (RMHC SWFL) invites you to the 28th Annual Storybook Ball on Saturday, February 10, 2024. This annual signature fundraising event brings together families, community supporters, partners, local McDonald’s owner-operators, and more for a special evening celebrating the importance of family-centered care.

In black-tie optional attire, guests will enjoy cocktail hour with an incredible silent auction, dinner, dessert, dancing, live auction, raffles, and more. The theme is inspired by the movie “UP,” which focuses on hope, perseverance, and love.

Additionally, RMHC SWFL is pleased to announce the 2024 Storybook Ball Honorees, Jim and Jonatha Castle, Grampy’s Charities. “The Castles have honored us by choosing to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida through their sponsorship of numerous events and more,” says President & CEO Laura Ragain. “They have truly enhanced our fundraising efforts and the visibility of those events in the Southwest Florida community. We are pleased to recognize Jim and Jonatha for their continued friendship and support.”

In 2006, Jim and Jonatha Castle founded the private foundation Grampy’s Charities in New London, CT, to help fund and support children’s charities. They chose to concentrate on children’s charities due to their passion for helping that underserved population. Grampy’s Charities is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff. For over a quarter century, Grampy’s has donated more than $3,000,000 to children’s charities.

Proceeds from the Storybook Ball directly benefit RMHC SWFL’s free-of-charge programs and services for children and families, such as the Ronald McDonald House®, Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Golisano Children’s Hospital, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® Program.

A special thanks to the event sponsors, thus far: Grand Patron Sponsor: First Horizon Foundation, Sapphire Sponsor: Golisano Children’s Hospital & Lee Health, Media Sponsor: Gulfshore Life.
