Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats Donates $5,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southwest Florida

FORT MYERS, FL. (April 14, 2022)— Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats presented Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southwest Florida (RMHC SWFL) with a generous donation of $5,000. Due to the pandemic, RMCH SWFL, like many others, had to reschedule and cancel multiple fundraising events over the past two years, including the Storybook Ball this past February. In lieu of the event, Nor-Tech graciously donated the funds, unrestricted, to the area of greatest need. In addition, plans are in place to sponsor the 27th Annual Storybook Ball in 2023.

“Giving back has always been important to us,” Nor-Tech Co-Founder Trond Schou says. “Especially as of late, we feel that we have been able to impact our local communities positively. Together with our Nor-Tech employees, customers, vendors, dealers & friends, we have contributed more than $200,000+ to local charities. RMHCSWFL is one of our favorite charities as the organization finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. Although the Storybook Ball was canceled for this year, we felt compelled to honor our contribution. We understand that just because we cannot participate in events due to the current pandemic, the need for children and families is still there.”

Trond & his family has been a part of the Cape Coral community since the mid-1980s and have fallen in love with SWFL and the lifestyle it allows.

About Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats
Legacy of Excellence- When they were first running around boatyards in Norway as youngsters in the 1970s, Trond Schou and Nils Johnsen weren’t thinking about their legacy. They were thinking about — and obsessed with — sports cars and boats. That still holds true today, just on a much grander scale. Thirty years ago, the first Nor-Tech powerboat hit the Gulf of Mexico in Southwest Florida with exceptional craftsmanship, speed, and style like no other. Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats had two employees — Trond and Nils. If there’s a boat we can dream up, why not build it?” says Nils, Nor-Tech’s chief designer who is often inspired by his cherry red Lamborghini Countach. “If we can build it, we will. The co-founders can still be found on the production room floor working on boats and designs in one of their four Southwest Florida facilities just as much as they can be found in their offices, handling the day-to-day operations. https://www.nor-techboats.com/
