Faced with a child’s illness, life stops overnight and parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s added stress. Distance. Most families have to travel hours for treatment. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, lost jobs, worried siblings, sleeping in cars, being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience.
That’s why we’re here to help – don’t go through this alone.
With the generosity of our community, the efforts of our volunteers, staff and local McDonald’s restaurant owner-operators, we are meeting our mission through three programs.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida is to create, find and support programs that directly impact the health and well-being of children and their families in Southwest Florida.
When a child is sick, the entire family needs comfort and support. We strongly believe that when families are together they cope better, which is why we make it our mission that no family has to deal with their child’s medical crisis alone.
We rely on donors like you so we can continue our mission. When you give to RMHC, you are making a difference in every community we serve.
To all of you who donate so generously, rest assured that your contributions are used effectively and are very much appreciated by the families and children we serve.
Together, we can do big things.
Ronald McDonald House®
When a child is hospitalized, they need more than just medical care – they need their family. The Ronald McDonald House® is a ‘home-away-from-home’ that provides families with meals, housing, support, and more, all just steps away from their child.
Ronald McDonald Family Room®
Our Family Room is designed to be a place for parents to relax and regroup as they navigate this difficult journey with their child. The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a place for family members to seek comfort at the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®
Continuing our commitment to improving children’s health, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program® delivers free dental care directly to underserved children in their own neighborhoods, so they can have healthy smiles for years to come.
